Ansonia education is being run into the ground by the Mayor and the BOE. They are wasting time and resources because their focus is on removing the Superintendant over personal issues they have with him (not his actual job perfomance) and the kids have been suffering for years.

The town isn't getting the ECS funding it should and none of the politicians in office are doing anything about it.

BOE members are spending 10s of thousands of dollars frivolously and without procedures or controls on spending. They say their's a budget for what they are doing but refuse to reveal what that budget is currently.

BOE member John Lawlor said addressing the overcrowding of the schools and/or providing Aides for the primary grades is not their priority right now and there's no plan in place to rectify the problem. For years the schools have been over capacity and they refuse to address it. Who suffers? The kids and the teachers.

Taxpayers are convinced that most of the city budget is delegated to the education department but what they don't know is that most of that money comes from grants and federal funding rather than the city tax base. The Mayor does not want residents to know that.

For atleast the past year the Ansonia BOE has not made a decision regarding the children and that's proven in their meeting minutes. Their focus is not on the children and that is who they are supposed to support. They would rather be the city's fundraising committee and continue to take away from our children.
